about me

Since I started my own YouTube channel in middle school, I knew how much I loved filmmaking. I began to experiment in the creation of narrative short films over time, and the more I expanded my skillset, the more my passion grew.

I founded the Chaparral High School Filmmaking Club in my sophomore year, and since then, we have won several awards and participated in local and national film festivals. As a junior, I founded my production company "Scarlet Door Films" (named after my first short film "The Scarlet Door").

I was accepted into the prestigious Warner Brother’s Producing and Directing Class at USC's School of Cinematic Arts at just 16 years old. That summer at USC significantly shaped my filmmaking style, collaboration skills, and gave me the invaluable experience of filming on the Warner Bros. Backlot.

I brought all of that knowledge back to my filmmaking club at home. Together, we produced several award-winning student films. See the reel below to view our work!

Chaparral Filmmaking Club

I founded Chaparral’s Filmmaking Club in 2021, creating a creative community of filmmakers at my high school where there was none previously. Since then, I ran weekly meetings, directed all of our films, fundraised for equipment, and taught members everything from scriptwriting to filming for new short films, PSAs, and promotional videos.
